Purpose

Central to the purpose of the Vineyard discipleship schools is the combination of a worldwide network along with close ties with the local church community. In blending the these two strengths, students will maintain a strong connection to a church family while at the same time benefiting from the international network of Vineyard churches and their connections to the broader church in the world. It is the place of the local church to advance the kingdom of God on earth and students in these schools will both be trained and closely tied to the front lines of God's great work.

Furthermore, sponsoring churches will greatly benefit from the inclusion of these students into their family of faith. Each new semester of students will bring with them a vitality of faith and hope for the future that brought them to the school in the first place. As well, the church will see the influx of willing hands to join in the work of building the local body.
